Maria has the ideal background for a Healthcare Retail COO. With 15+ years of finance and operational experience in the healthcare, retail and banking industries, she is uniquely qualified to build and sustain growth in this emerging field.

In addition to handling day-to-day operations, Maria's responsibilities within Simply Retail include overseeing top-line growth, forecasting and budget preparation. Skilled in human resources management and infrastructure design, she also leads the company in the development of new systems to continually improve office efficiencies and meet sales goals. Maria is an active participant in all Simply Retail's services, coordinating financial projections and managing all legal, vendor and client negotiations.

Prior to joining Simply Retail, Maria held executive positions with US Trust, Briggs & Morgan, Welcome to Our Home, and Sunrise Senior Living. While in the senior care industry, she developed and managed over 50 senior communities and created successful mentoring programs for 500+ employees, increasing revenues from $16 million to $72 million within two years. Her involvement with senior housing operations allowed her to see firsthand how difficult it is for healthcare professionals, caregivers and patients to find the retail products and support they need.

Maria also has a MBA and paralegal certificate, with experience in equity offerings and merger and acquisitions. Her multi-industry knowledge and clear business sense to "make all things measurable" are key contributors to Simply Retail's success.
